My boyfriend took me to Paris in November. I have been a few times, however he has never been before. We tried to fit in as much as we could in two days. We were really lucky with the weather as although it was cold it was really sunny and not windy at all. It was such a lovely weekend away before the stress of Christmas.
I visited Amsterdam for the first time last year with one of my best friends. We only stayed for 2 nights due to work commitments but it was one of the best times I have had away. The city is so fun! We hired bikes for the whole day and got lost and found some pretty places. We visited Bulldog cafe and had a hash brownie (as a few people had told us to go who had been before). In the evening we went to the red light district and had a tour with some crazy American women called Kimberly. I’d really recommend going on a tour as we found out so many interesting facts (while laughing our heads off).
So my mum wants to start a blog about fostering children and insights and tips on what works and what doesn’t when fostering. She’s new to the blogging world so wanted to go to a blog event in London called blogfest. It is run by a blog called Mumsnet (http://www.mumsnet.com/). Although I am not a mum and my blogs niche is fashion I thought I’d come along with her. It was actually a fun day with speakers such as Richard Bacon, Jo Brand and Jon Ronson. It was really nice to bond with my mum without anyone else to distract us.
This august I attended eotr festival with my boyfriend Joe, his sister and his mum. Its such a lovely festival and not your usual reading crowd of people. The forest is covered in cute fairy lights and books and turns into a disco at night (with Jarvis Cocker djing). There is a cinema with selected films from the shining to the cat in the hat. and of course an amazing line up every year. Here are some photos showing a glimps of what it’s like.
